A park in Gotemba, Shizuoka Prefecture, where history and nature come together. The former villa was home to Their Imperial Highnesses Prince Yasuhito and Princess Setsuko of Chichibu for about 10 years beginning in 1941. Princess Setsuko bequeathed the property to the City of Gotemba in her will, and it opened as a park in 2003.

The expansive grounds cover approximately 14.7 acres and are dotted with attractions such as a thatched-roof main house more than 300 years old, a memorial museum, a rock garden, and the Mitsumine Kiln. Visitors can view items associated with the Prince and Princess and learn about their lives at the villa. Situated at an elevation of approximately 1,640 feet, the park is filled with wildflowers and other seasonal blooms. Its changing scenery includes a weeping cherry tree over 130 years old in spring, fresh greenery, and colorful fall foliage.

Making the most of the natural environment surrounding Mount Fuji, the park is ideal for a leisurely stroll. Its historic buildings and lush plantings create a peaceful atmosphere. With the Uguisutei café and a shop also on the grounds, the park is a popular Gotemba attraction where visitors can experience history, culture, and nature in one place.
