Located on the 18th and top floor of the Kagoshima Prefectural Government Office, a local landmark, this observation lobby offers panoramic views of scenery distinctive to Kagoshima through its windows.

Take the direct elevator to the 18th floor, and the active volcano Sakurajima will unfold before you. As you gaze at the mountain rising as if from the waters of Kinko Bay, you will sense its commanding presence and understand why it has long been cherished as a symbol of Kagoshima. During the day, take in views of the blue sea, cityscape, and surrounding mountains. At sunset, watch the sky turn deep red behind the majestic silhouette of Sakurajima.

After dark, the scenery changes completely. City lights sparkle from the area around Kagoshima-Chuo Station to Yojiro, Kamoike, and Taniyama, creating an enchanting atmosphere unlike the daytime view.

As an indoor observation area, it is easy to visit regardless of the weather or season. It is also open until 9:00 p.m. every day of the week, and admission is free.
