Lake Yamanakako Yuyake no Nagisa Autumn Leaves Festival

This autumn event features colorful foliage against the backdrop of Mt. Fuji and Lake Yamanakako. Held at Asahigaoka Lakeside Green Park, selected as one of Japan's 100 best shores, the festival usually runs from late October to mid-November.

Stroll along the lakeside walking path to admire the autumn leaves in the peaceful daytime atmosphere. From evening, the foliage is illuminated, making the lakeside trees stand out against the darkness. The combination of Mt. Fuji, Lake Yamanakako, and autumn colors offers a different view from the daytime scenery. As dusk gives way to night, watch the lakeside scenery evoking the festival's name, "Yuyake no Nagisa," or "Sunset Shore," transform into a display of illuminated autumn leaves.

Food and other stalls also set up at the venue, and events such as a wine festival are sometimes held. Take in the autumn leaves, Mt. Fuji, and lakeside scenery together at Lake Yamanakako, and savor the changing views from day to night.
