Compared to traditional zoos, Tama really feels more like a wildlife park. It's perfect for families, and I saw lots of kindergarten kids there on field trips.

I originally planned to just spend half a day here, but ended up staying the whole day!
The animals are all so cute, and there are way more species than I could count.
If you're in Tokyo with kids and want to avoid big crowds, this is the place!
Just a heads up, there are a lot of slopes in the park, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes.

The area is huge—about four times the size of Ueno Zoo! Take the shuttle bus up and then walk down while checking out the animals. The butterfly house is especially cool, with butterflies flying all around you. The animal statues at the entrance are a must for photos.

Even though I get cold easily, I still had a blast here! The scenery is just amazing~

I was so tired after walking all day, but spending time with these animals made me feel really happy.

It was alright, but honestly a bit boring and I got really tired from all the walking.

The zoo is really spacious—you could easily spend a whole day here. But be prepared, there are a lot of hills, so walking around can get pretty tiring...
