TOKYO SKYTREE is definitely one of Tokyo’s iconic attractions that you can’t miss. There are also lots of shops and great food here.
Want to take a TOKYO SKYTREE photo like mine without the crowds getting in the way? Here’s a little hidden photo spot: go to the stairs just a little uphill past the "Ghibli store." From this angle, you can get the whole tower in the shot and avoid most of the tourists, so it’s easy to capture your own perfect TOKYO SKYTREE photo!
I’ve been to TOKYO SKYTREE twice. How should I put it? I first found out about it because of a Detective Conan movie.
The first time I went, it was almost closing. I got two capsule toys, and I really loved them, but they’re gone now. The mall inside is also really fun to shop around!
The view outside is beautiful too, and the colors change. It’s definitely a must-visit photo spot for tourists~
The weather was great both times I went. Does “Skytree” mean a clear sky? Haha.
Tokyo Skytree is currently the tallest tower in the world.
It’s also one of Tokyo’s most iconic modern landmarks and a must-visit attraction.
The mall downstairs is great for browsing, and there are lots of restaurant and souvenir options.
If it’s your first time in Tokyo, it’s definitely worth going up for the view.
Looking out over Tokyo’s night view from the top at 450 m felt like being on a plane.
You can take in the whole city at once—the lights of this massive metropolis are dazzling.
It really makes you feel small in the best way.
In June 2025, we bought tickets to go up to the TOKYO SKYTREE observation deck. Since we were eating vegetarian at the time, we went to a vegetarian restaurant, and on the walk over we found a small park where you can also see the TOKYO SKYTREE.
It was an unexpected little bonus and a really special experience on our trip.
The view from the upper floors is quite beautiful.
But if the weather isn’t clear, the scenery looks pretty average, and with the expensive ticket price, it doesn’t really feel worth it.
You can easily walk here from Asakusa Station or Oshiage Station. Super convenient location.
The view from the Tembo Deck is super open—you can see all of Tokyo in every direction! There's also a glass floor inside the tower, so you can look straight down beneath your feet. It's both thrilling and fun.
I took photos of Tokyo Skytree from along the Sumida River during cherry blossom season. The colors change so often that I couldn't stop snapping pictures!
