Kokyo Gaien National Garden is a rare large green space in central Tokyo. Its expansive lawns, neatly arranged pine trees, and views of the moat complement one another, creating an especially relaxing atmosphere. While strolling through the grounds, you can admire the famous Nijubashi Bridge and experience the dignified yet peaceful atmosphere surrounding the Imperial Palace.

The whole place is super quiet, like an oasis in the city. Walking in and seeing those stone walls and the moat is really impressive!

Getting to this spot is super convenient. The nearest subway stations are Otemachi and Tokyo Station, and it's just a short walk from there.

The huge lawn is filled with lots of black pine trees, which really stand out against the surrounding buildings. It feels like an oasis in the middle of a desert.

The moat, the castle, and the lawns make this a great spot to heal your soul.

Highly recommend coming alone to quietly take photos and enjoy the scenery.

The whole area feels really solemn and dignified. It's a shame you can't go inside the Imperial Palace.

The plaza is filled with lots of pine trees and even has a samurai bronze statue. It's a green space that's free and open for people to stroll around.

It's pretty rare to find such a large green space right in the center of Tokyo!

The Imperial Palace is usually closed to the public, so you can only take photos near the Nijubashi Bridge. The spacious garden in front is really well maintained.

I came at just the right time—the cherry blossoms were in full bloom and looked beautiful.
