When visiting Yokohama, the Red Brick Warehouse is a classic attraction that's almost impossible to miss. The red brick buildings have a strong international feel, and the warehouses are filled with distinctive restaurants, cafés, and artsy little shops where you can browse and enjoy good food. There are also often seasonal exhibitions and events. The buildings have a classic appearance and are surrounded by harbor views, making the area perfect for a relaxing daytime stroll. At night, the lights add an even more romantic atmosphere.

I finally got to visit the Red Brick Warehouse, one of Yokohama's classic attractions! This historic red brick building is now a hub for culture, shopping, and food. With the old architecture and harbor views, every photo has a distinctive feel.

After riding the Yokohama Air Cabin, it's about a 10-minute walk. Strolling along and taking in the harbor scenery is actually quite pleasant. However, on this visit, I noticed that quite a few stores had already left Building No. 1, so it felt a bit quiet. If you want to shop and browse unique little stores, I recommend heading straight to Building No. 2! It has plenty of artsy shops, unique goods, and Yokohama specialties, so you can also pick up all your souvenirs at once.

The Red Brick Warehouse isn't the kind of attraction where you have to spend a long time, but the atmosphere around it is really nice〜

Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse is a popular spot you definitely shouldn’t miss when visiting Yokohama. It has a great mix of retro historic architecture and harborfront atmosphere.

Inside, there are lots of unique restaurants, creative little shops, and souvenirs to browse, so it’s easy to end up spending hours there. During this visit, we happened to catch a lively beer festival. The area was packed with visitors and had such a fun vibe.

Enjoying good food while taking in the beautiful harbor views was a highlight. It’s relaxing during the day and romantic at night, and it’s absolutely worth adding to a Yokohama free-time itinerary.

The architecture feels very European—doesn’t really look Japanese.

I absolutely love places with a view of the ocean! I'm not really into souvenirs, but there are plenty of restaurants and cafes here where you can grab a bite or just relax. I recommend coming in the afternoon and staying until evening—you'll get to enjoy both the daytime and nighttime vibes!

They've turned the old warehouse into a relaxing spot by combining creative culture and commercial activities.

Just like the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse in Hakodate, this place was converted from a port warehouse. It's even more beautiful at night when the lights are on—the atmosphere is fantastic!

The historic exterior of the building is really well preserved. Inside, the shops mostly sell creative little goods. It's definitely one of the most popular tourist spots in Yokohama.

You can walk from Yamashita Park all the way to the Red Brick Warehouse. These warehouses are pre-WWII relics, and they look beautiful when they're lit up at night—perfect for taking photos.

There are so many unique creative products and exclusive items you can only find at the Red Brick Warehouse's Building 2—it's hard to stop shopping! 🥰 Highly recommend the pancakes at Bills—back in 2002, The New York Times even called it the world's best breakfast! 🥞
