I really like white bean paste, but this was a bit too sweet for me. So I bought some as souvenirs and had them with tea for an afternoon snack. My coworkers loved them!

You can find this famous sweet from Meigetsudo at pretty much every souvenir shop in Hakata Station. It's definitely the most well-known treat around!

Hakata Torimon makes a great souvenir—there are so many options, and everyone loves them, no matter their age! The ones made with domestic red beans are especially good, kind of like kusa mochi or mochi with sesame. 👍

Meigetsudo started in 1929 and their manju has become one of the best-selling in the world! I definitely recommend this as a souvenir for friends.
