When I visited Azabudai Hills, the observation deck was still open to the public for free. Standing high above the city at night and looking out over Tokyo, the beautiful night view left a deep impression on me. Tokyo Tower glowed orange-red, surrounded by the intersecting lights of high-rise buildings and streets, making the entire city sparkle in the darkness.

After looking around, I didn't forget to buy some desserts. I picked up Échiré butter cookies and a cake from HARBS. The Échiré butter cookies were crisp and had a rich buttery aroma, while the HARBS cake was beautifully layered with fruit and whipped cream. Every bite was satisfying.

From the night view to the desserts, my memories of this trip to Azabudai Hills include not only Tokyo's dazzling lights but also a touch of sweetness.

Azabudai Hills is a new landmark mixed-use urban development in Tokyo. Designed around the concept of a "modern urban village," the complex combines a lush central plaza, luxury residences, Michelin-starred dining, and an immersive teamLab art exhibition. The observation deck on the 33rd floor features large windows with excellent views, allowing you to look out over Tokyo's bustling cityscape up close and take in the full, striking view of Tokyo Tower.

Tokyo's new landmark, Azabudai Hills, perfectly blends modern architectural art with lush natural scenery. The soaring Mori JP Tower has an exceptionally grand and modern presence, creating a striking visual contrast with the nearby Reiyukai Shakaden, a uniquely shaped building resembling a black samurai. As you stroll through the complex, blooming pink and purple hydrangeas add romance and vitality to the refined urban lines.
Bringing together luxury shopping, art exhibitions, popular food, and green courtyards, this is an exciting new highlight for independent travelers in Tokyo, whether you want to experience a fashionable and luxurious atmosphere, admire cutting-edge architecture, or casually capture beautiful photos!

The greenery design here is absolutely fantastic.
It blends the entire urban complex perfectly with nature, creating a feeling like you’re shopping in a forest.

In busy Tokyo, having a place like this where you can really take a deep breath and enjoy both modern design and natural greenery feels so refreshing. Whether you’re taking a walk, grabbing a coffee, or just relaxing, it’s incredibly soothing.

The night view here is definitely worth recommending. Visiting the observation deck at dusk feels pretty romantic.

The whole vibe here is super futuristic—it's like walking into a high-end, stylish city model. Tons of food options, from fancy Japanese cuisine to trendy coffee shops.

This is honestly a great place to spend half a day or even the whole day. There are delicious restaurants, and you can check out the teamLab immersive digital art or visit a gallery to walk off your meal. Then, grab a coffee and a snack—such a relaxing and happy day!

This new spot opened in 2023. They're currently hosting an Olafur Eliasson exhibition as the opening event (until the end of March 2024). There's also a permanent teamLab exhibit and public art, so it's a must-visit for art lovers. More and more brand stores are getting ready to open, and it looks like this place will become a top shopping destination, right up there with Ginza, Roppongi, and Omotesando.
