It's one of Japan's Top 100 Castles and one of the 12 original castle towers still standing. Uwajima Castle is really well preserved.

Kawaguchi Lake is the most developed and lively of the Fuji Five Lakes. Lots of big local festivals and cultural events are held here.

The exterior looks beautiful and has a modern vibe. It takes a little over 10 minutes to walk to the museum from the station.

You can spot Namahage everywhere on the Oga Peninsula in Akita. During dinner at the hotel, they came out and asked us for sake. Some kids in our group ended up bursting into tears!
