While shopping along Sannenzaka near Kiyomizu in Kyoto, I stopped by the famous Yojiya Kiyomizu Sannenzaka Store. The store has plenty of Kyoto-style beauty products and lifestyle items, and this time I bought some oil blotting paper to try.

The oil blotting paper is very convenient and absorbs oil well. Just press it lightly against your face to remove the shine, and it doesn't leave your skin feeling very dry afterward.

Shichimiya Honpo's shichimi togarashi has a very appealing aroma. I was worried it might be too spicy, but the heat is actually quite mild and doesn't overpower the flavor of the food itself.

What I like most is its subtle spice aroma. Sprinkle a little on udon, ramen, or a rice bowl, and it immediately adds more depth to the overall flavor. It's really suitable for people who enjoy aromatic spices but don't want anything too spicy!

At Amanoyasukawara in Miyazaki, I followed the Iwato River into the valley, surrounded by forest and rock walls. The farther in I went, the quieter and more secluded it felt.

The most distinctive sight is the cave filled with stacks of stones, which are said to have been placed by worshippers making wishes. Stone piles of all sizes cover the rock walls and riverbanks, and together with the dim lighting, the whole scene has an indescribably mysterious feeling.

Standing in Amanoyasukawara and looking at the countless stone piles and natural rock walls, it's hard to imagine that the scene before you was created through the accumulation of nature and faith over many years. There are no ornate buildings here, yet it has a power that naturally makes people lower their voices and take it all in quietly.

Osaka Kizu Market is located in Naniwa Ward and is one of Osaka's long-established traditional markets. It was once mainly a wholesale market and still retains a strong market atmosphere today. Walking into the market feels very different from a typical tourist shopping street. There are fewer flashy decorations and more fresh ingredients and bustling scenes of people shopping.

The seafood section is the most eye-catching area. Live crabs move around in the tanks and look especially fresh. All kinds of seafood, fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients are neatly displayed, giving you a real sense of local daily life as you walk around.

When visiting Osaka, besides exploring the lively shopping districts, I also highly recommend stopping by Kizu Market. From the appearance of a traditional wholesale market to the displays of fresh seafood, you can experience a very authentic side of Osaka's food culture.

When you arrive in Yufuin, the majestic Mount Yufu catches your eye along the way. Its peaks rise high above the Yufuin Basin, taking on a different appearance from every angle. It is also one of the area's most iconic sights.

While driving by, you can see the shape of Mount Yufu from far away. With few tall buildings around to block the view, the entire mountain stands out. At its foot are lush green fields beneath a vast sky, creating simple yet pleasant scenery.

Mount Yufu remained outside our window throughout the drive, sometimes clearly visible and sometimes partly hidden by clouds and mist, which added a sense of variety. The mountain is not just a backdrop to Yufuin, but also a sight that accompanied us throughout our journey.

In the afternoon, we visited Tenso Shrine by Lake Kinrin. Without the mist commonly seen in the early morning, the scenery looked clearer in the sunlight, yet it still retained an indescribable sense of mystery.

The small shrine stands right by the lake, with its vermilion torii reflected in the water. Surrounded by trees, it feels especially quiet and secluded. Without the mist, Lake Kinrin had a clearer look, which made the shrine's rustic appearance stand out even more.

Located by the lakeshore, Tenso Shrine blends into the scenery of Lake Kinrin, creating a very special sense of tranquility. Even though we didn't encounter the dreamlike morning mist, an afternoon visit still allowed us to experience Yufuin's distinctive mystery and serenity.

White chocolate paired with crispy chocolate cookies gives it a rich cocoa aroma and a light, crunchy texture, along with the sweet flavor of white chocolate.

It's a very popular snack in Japan, and the white chocolate version of White Black Thunder is also quite distinctive. It's a great souvenir from Japan to bring back and share!

What I like most is that it isn’t sticky. It doesn’t leave my whole face looking oily and shiny after application, and it’s also easier to apply makeup afterward. When I use it in hotter weather, the refreshing feel is very comfortable. It’s definitely one I’d add to my daily sunscreen list!

Kyoto Takashimaya S.C. is right in the Kawaramachi area, so it's convenient to stop by while shopping. There are lots of clothing, household goods, food, and souvenirs to browse, and the overall space is very comfortable. On this trip to Kyoto, besides enjoying the street scenery, I also made time to visit Takashimaya S.C. and look at the wide variety of products. It was a lot of fun to shop around.

I went shopping at Kawaramachi OPA in Kyoto. The entire department store has plenty of clothing, accessories, and household goods to browse at a relaxed pace, with a pretty wide variety of stores. This time I also bought a few pieces of clothing I liked, and I was very happy to bring home my finds while shopping! If you happen to be shopping in Kawaramachi, it's worth making time to stop in and look around. You might also find some clothes or small items you like.
