Passing by at night, I was deeply drawn to its elegant Western-style architecture and stopped without realizing it to admire it. Since it was just before Christmas, there were still activities going on inside the church. The warm, dim lighting illuminated the historic building, adding a solemn yet cozy holiday atmosphere. That evening, I was on my way to take the ropeway to see Hakodate's night view and briefly stopped in front of the church. Unfortunately, the winter night was simply too cold to stay long, so I had to move on quickly.

Michi-no-Eki Aso
The Aso area is a coveted destination for vast natural landscapes around Mt. Aso, especially among motorcyclists and travels enthusiasts. If driving along National Route 57 you’ll find Michi-no-Eki Aso as a handy hub that also offers direct views of the iconic Aso Five Peaks. Conveniently adjacent to JR Aso Station, it’s also just as easy to access by train as by car.
Before leaving Aso by train, I used the time before departure to browse the roadside station next door. It feels like a farmers' market, with a wide variety of local agricultural specialties on display. Unlike the usual tourist shopping streets with a strong commercial feel, the displays here are very simple, and they sell many authentic ingredients and handmade snacks that are hard to find elsewhere, making it a good place to hunt for unique finds. Even the precious and extremely popular "Aso Milk," which is usually hard to find elsewhere, is well stocked here, neatly filling the refrigerated cases. A must-buy!

Aso Panorama Line
Aso-Panorama Line is the 37-km long scenic route in the center of the Mount Aso caldera that runs the north, west and south routes towards the 5 mountains of Aso. All three directions of the path meet in the midde, making their way towards Aso Sanjo Public Square. Here you’ll find unrivaled views of the Somma volcano, and the wide open green of the great outdoors as you discover the best scenic spots of Aso.
The scenery along the way is breathtaking, with the vast, lush green grasslands of Aso stretching out before you, set against magnificent mountains and a deep blue sky. It really lets you appreciate the beauty of nature. The Aso Panorama Line isn't difficult to reach, and it's easy to plan a trip even if it's your first visit. Aso's beauty is well worth experiencing in person〜

Milk Stand Akihabara is a specialty shop for bottled milk located in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. This long-established stand has been in business for more than 70 years since it opened in 1950. It is on the 3rd floor of JR Akihabara Station, on platform 5 of the JR Sobu Line. Its signature items are bottled milk varieties from regions all across Japan.
This Milk Stand is a hidden treat for milk lovers! It may be just a tiny shop, but it brings together fresh milk from small farms all across Japan, and each one has its own distinctive character.
