Momoya’s Hosaki Menma Yawaragi has a distinctly Japanese flavor. The bamboo shoots are tender with a slight crunch, and you can still taste their natural sweetness when you bite into them. The seasoning isn’t too strong and is mildly spicy, making it great with rice or as a side dish. It also makes a nice souvenir for older family members to enjoy with rice!

Located inside TOKYO GIFT PALETTE at First Avenue Tokyo Station, just outside the Yaesu-side ticket gates of PISTA & TOKYO TOKYO GIFT PALETTE, this pistachio sweets specialty shop is produced by KCC Co., Ltd. With the concept of “sharing the allure of pistachios from Tokyo,” it offers a wide variety of pistachio-based treats.
I bought some gifts at PISTA & TOKYO TOKYO GIFT PALETTE. Even the packaging is cute and has a distinctive Tokyo feel! There were quite a few flavors to choose from, and I ended up getting the pistachio sandwich cookies and berry sandwich cookies.
The pistachio filling was rich and had a deep, nutty flavor, while the berry filling was sweet and tart. Each had its own character, and the crisp cookies and smooth fillings created a nice combination of textures.
I planned to take them home and enjoy them slowly, but once I started eating, I couldn't stop having one after another. They were all really delicious, and the packaging felt high-quality too! Next time I come to Tokyo, I'll want to buy them again as gifts to take home.

The popular coffee shop born in California, USA opened the first shop in Japan in October, 2019, as Kiyosumi Shirakawa Flagship Cafe.
At the Blue Bottle Coffee Kiyosumi Shirakawa Flagship Cafe, besides having coffee and buying coffee beans, I also took some time to browse the merchandise. All the designs were simple and cute, and I couldn't stop looking. In the end, I took a cup home with me!
The cup has a simple, timeless design with Blue Bottle Coffee's classic little logo on it, and it feels high-quality in your hand. I didn't leave empty-handed this time—I bought a cup as a travel souvenir, so I can also relive the memories whenever I drink coffee at home!

HAKATA DEITOS
Conveniently located next to JR Hakata Station, this commercial facility is in the largest building in Kyushu “JR Hakata City.” On its floors B1, F1 and F2, nearly 60 shops provide tasty food, general goods, fashion, souvenirs, etc.
This time at HAKATA DEITOS, I bought the famous Yume Yume Dori! The chicken is fried until crispy on the outside, and what makes it special is that it’s eaten cold. It starts off crispy, followed by a sweet and savory sauce that keeps you wanting more. It was my first time trying it, and I found it really unique—completely different from regular piping-hot fried chicken. It’s perfect to take home and enjoy with drinks!
