When traveling to Hiroshima, besides enjoying the city scenery and visiting the usual tourist attractions, I think the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum is also a place you should visit in person. On August 6, 1945, an atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, completely changing the city and countless people's lives in a very short time.
The museum was established to preserve this history and the devastation caused by the atomic bombing, and to pass it on to future generations so people can understand the enormous cost of war and nuclear weapons. The museum displays many valuable materials related to the bombing, including photographs from the time, damaged belongings, possessions of survivors, and firsthand oral testimonies. Some exhibits may look like ordinary clothing or everyday items, but behind each one is a family, a child, or a life that could never return. These tangible objects and stories convey the suffering people endured at the time more powerfully than simply reading historical accounts.
