I was really looking forward to this fireworks show at Hiroshima Port. Luckily, the weather was clear that day, so I arrived early in the evening to secure a spot and waited for nightfall. As the first firework rose into the night sky and burst into a dazzling display of colors, the crowd erupted in cheers and exclamations of surprise. With the gentle sea breeze and wave after wave of brilliant fireworks, the whole summer night felt both romantic and lively. Everyone gazed up at the sparkling night sky together and took in the powerful atmosphere, adding many wonderful memories to that summer〜

Io World Kagoshima City Aquarium
Located at Kagoshima Port, the Io World Kagoshima City Aquarium offers stunning views of the iconic Sakurajima volcano across Kinko Bay. The aquarium is home to approximately 10,000 creatures from 800 species, primarily those inhabiting the waters of Kagoshima, including the Kuroshio Current and the Nansei Islands. The "Kurosio Great Water Tank" is a major draw, featuring fish like whale sharks, tuna, and bonito that travel with the Kuroshio Current.
What I was looking forward to most at the Kagoshima City Aquarium was seeing the whale shark in the Kuroshio Great Water Tank! Watching it glide through the deep blue water, its enormous body slowly passing before my eyes, it looked so graceful and unhurried. The sight of it swimming with the other schools of fish was especially spectacular. Before I knew it, I had been standing in front of the tank for a long time, reluctant to leave.

Henri Charpentier Tokyo Gift Palette Shop
Henri Charpentier is a confectionery brand founded in Ashiya, Hyogo, in 1969. It is known for its baked sweets and fresh cakes. The brand also has a shop at TOKYO GIFT PALETTE in Tokyo Station.
If you like financiers, you definitely have to try this place~ As soon as I opened the package, the rich aromas of cultured butter and freshly ground almonds immediately filled the air! The outside was slightly crisp, while the inside was moist. They’re very finely made and also make a generous gift.

Jozankei Onsen Koinobori
Held in the Jozankei Onsen area, this is a beloved springtime tradition that began in 1987. From early April to early May each year, around 400 colorful carp streamers are displayed above the hot spring town and along the river gorge. The streamers are donated by households and workplaces across Hokkaido, with each one carrying the sentiments of its donor.
When I visited Jozankei, I happened to catch the local carp streamer display, which was an unexpected surprise! Long rows of carp streamers were hanging above the gorge, constantly fluttering in the wind. The colorful streamers stood out beautifully against the blue sky and mountain scenery, creating a spectacular sight. When the breeze blew, the carp streamers looked as if they were actually swimming through the air, making me stop and admire them. It was a rare chance to see this seasonal scenery, so I quickly took out my camera to capture the beautiful view before I missed it.
