I prefer TOKYO SKYTREE to Tokyo Tower. It has everything you need, including a shopping mall and restaurants in addition to the observation decks (see attached image 3 for details). This helps spread out the crowds so everyone isn’t packed into the same place. There’s also a JUMP SHOP here. The TOKYO SKYTREE-exclusive Western-style sweets make pretty tasty souvenirs. Recommended~
If I had to name one drawback, there’s simply too much to see and shop for, so you can’t get through it all. If you have enough time, it’s best to spend a whole day here!

Tempozan Marketplace
Located within the "Tempozan Harbor Village," where you can enjoy a full day of popular spots including one of the world's largest aquariums Kaiyukan and one of the largest Ferris wheels in Japan, this large commercial facility houses about 60 stores including fashion, miscellaneous goods, accessories shops, restaurants, and food courts.
This place is suitable for all ages, so it gets pretty crowded. There aren’t many places to sit, so your legs may need a little stamina hahaha. I mainly recommend the indoor zoo at Tempozan. The environment is well maintained, but the animals have changed a bit. In the past, besides small animals, there was also a pig, a capybara, a kangaroo, and an alpaca (only one of each), but now there are only small animals. There also used to be a discount on admission for seniors, but that’s gone now too.

Tokyo Character Street
Tokyo Character Street is located in a corner of "First Avenue Tokyo Station", a commercial facility directly connected to Tokyo Station. Located just outside the "Yaesu Underground Central Exit ticket gate", the street is home to a collection of character stores featuring the popular domestic and international characters such as "Pokémon," "Crayon Shin-chan," "Pretty Cure," "Sumikkogurashi," and more. Some items are only available at "Tokyo Character Street", making it an irresistible space for anime and manga enthusiasts.
As expected of Tokyo First Avenue, it was incredibly crowded and lively! The food, souvenir, and anime shops were all packed. This place takes a lot of time, so visitors should be prepared—there's no way you'll spend less than two hours here (and you might only manage to visit 1 or 2 stores), unless you have a very specific destination. I only went to JUMP SHOP, and I was glad I hadn't planned to visit any other stores because there were seriously so many people, oh my god!!….
The photo shows the prices and options on the machine at JUMP SHOP. It only accepts cash⚠️ Taiwan later got the same machine, but oddly enough, it only accepts electronic payments there🫣 -

Lake District of Goshikinuma
An explosion of steam gave birth to hundreds of lakes and ponds in 1888. About 30 of large and small lakes such as Bishamon, Aka, Midoro, Tatsu, and Benten are called Goshikinuma Ponds, which won 1-star in the Michelin Green Guide in 2016.
This attraction isn't at a very high elevation, and the route is manageable on foot, so it's a bit more comfortable. It's beautiful and refreshing. You can enjoy the peace and quiet here while walking, stretching, and taking deep breaths. There are also warnings to watch out for bears. The trails here are mostly rocky, so they may be a little slippery. There are quite a few visitors, and you'll see other people every few minutes, so it doesn't feel remote or unsafe. Still, I recommend not coming alone.
