KIRIN Afternoon Tea is one of my favorites whenever I travel around Japan on my own. As soon as I enter a convenience store or supermarket, I almost always grab a bottle out of habit.

I like that it doesn’t have the astringent taste that canned tea often has. The tea aroma is mellow and smooth, and the sweetness is just right, making it very pleasant and refreshing to drink. Sometimes I even add a slice of fresh lemon, which instantly enhances the flavor and makes it even more refreshing and appealing.

It’s such a pleasure to drink after chilling it in the refrigerator. Whether I’m cooling off after walking under the hot sun on the streets of Japan or enjoying it with a late-night snack back at the hotel, it’s the perfect companion. This classic drink has accompanied me on countless trips, and it’s definitely the one I buy most often in Japan and never get tired of drinking.
