Harbor View Park is one of my favorite parks. The whole place is beautiful, especially the English Rose Garden and the Fragrance Garden—they're just gorgeous. The park is pretty big, so it's also nice for a walk.

Universal Studios Japan
Universal Studios Japan, nicknamed “USJ”, is a large-scale theme park with entertainment for everyone, both children and adults alike. The park is separated into different areas, each with a different theme from popular titles across the world.
Universal Studios Japan is fun for all ages! Totally worth a visit—I actually think it's way more fun than Disney. There are so many themed areas and so many attractions that you can't do them all in one day. I spent from early morning until night and still wanted more.

Yamashita Park
Yamashita Park is located by the sea, just a short walk from Yokohama Chinatown. It was opened in March of 1930, reclaiming the waterfront using rubble caused by the Great Kanto Earthquake.
The rose garden at Yamashita Park is huge, and the roses are really beautiful. There's also a big cruise ship docked by the sea. The open view facing the ocean is so refreshing! I highly recommend this place.

Suzakaya Soba Niigata Station
This popular “hegi soba” noodle shop is just a 4 minutes’ walk from Niigata Station. Niigata’s special hegi soba noodles are served cold on a square wooden plate called a “hegi”, arranged into bite-size bundles.
A few years ago, I had lunch at 'Suzakaya' near Niigata Station while traveling in Niigata. A friend recommended a unique type of soba, and after reading this article, I realized it was the famous local 'hegi soba.' I still remember how chewy and delicious it was. Once the pandemic is over, I definitely want to go back and enjoy it again.
