Harbor View Park is located on a small hill overlooking the Port of Yokohama. When the port first opened, the area was used as a foreign settlement with the British army stationed on the hill and the French army at the bottom, so the area features locations like the “French Mountain” and “British House Yokohama.”
The park is also famous for its roses, and the English Rose Garden and Garden of Fragrances both feature a variety of seasonal roses and blooming flowers.
From on top of the observation deck you can look out over a panoramic view of the sea, as the park’s name “Harbor View Park” would suggest. One of the true highlights is the beautiful view of the Yokohama Bay Bridge at night.
