The shopping area around the station is huge! The underground mall is awesome for exploring and connects to all the department stores.

Karasumori Shrine
A shrine tucked away in an alley in Shinbashi’s drinking district, bustling with businesspeople at night, just a 2-minute walk from Shinbashi Station. It is said to have originated in a shrine founded in 940 by Fujiwara no Hidesato, who subdued the Taira no Masakado rebellion and followed the divine message of a white fox that appeared in his dream. Known for blessings for prosperous business and victory, it is especially popular with businesspeople in Shinbashi.
Their omamori have such stylish designs. They’ve got a total artsy vibe, and I really wanted to collect them.

HEP FIVE
“HEP” stands for “Hankyu Entertainment Park”, where “entertainment” has both meanings; “entertainment” as well as “hospitality”. It was founded in November 1998 aiming to create a place where we serve hospitality which makes people want to visit again and again. When the bright red ferris wheel first appeared in the middle of the city, it became a hot topic because it was the world’s first ferris wheel which is a part of the building and equipped with air conditioning. Since then, it became a landmark of Umeda.
With the Osaka Amazing Pass, you can ride the Ferris wheel for free and enjoy the night view.
