It's rare to see such huge whirlpools up close! We had perfect weather and caught the tides at just the right time. Even though we viewed them through the glass floor, it was still really impressive.

Lovers’ Swing (Himakajima Island)
Himakajima Island floats in Mikawa Bay and has a circumference of Approx. 5.5 km, with the entire island designated as part of Mikawa Bay Quasi-National Park. Climb the stairs leading up from Sunrise Beach near East Port, and you’ll find the Lovers’ Swing facing the sea. A log seat is suspended by ropes from a large pine tree, and it is wide enough for two adults to sit side by side. It is also said that if a couple rides it together, they will find happiness.
The Lovers’ Swing on Himakajima is really romantic! 😍
Sitting on the swing by the sea and looking at the blue sky and ocean feels like a total vacation.
It’s perfect for couples to take cute photos, and it’s also a great spot for friends. When the wind picks up and the swing starts moving, the whole atmosphere is just perfect〜 -

Choshi Valley Nature Zoo: Monkey Kingdom
The nature zoo is located in Choshi Valley, known for its scenic beauty alongside Kankakei on Shodoshima. The park is home to about 300 wild Japanese macaques that have been fed by humans. These macaques, designated as natural monuments of the prefecture, can be seen up close as they groom each other or huddle together for warmth. You can also enjoy feeding them.
It was my first time seeing so many macaques up close, and I was honestly a bit excited! Just watching them groom each other was super entertaining!
