Ginza’s A Votre Sante Endo is where you’ll find unorthodox fruit curry and traditional omelet rice under one roof.
I visited A Votre Sante Endo, a western food restaurant in Ginza, for lunch. Their menu boasted the usuals: pasta, pizza, traditional curry, and various other dishes. But, believe it or not, what this eatery is famous for is its fruit curry and omelet rice! (Yes, you read that correctly!)

Inside, I was greeted by a very at home atmosphere with a high ratio of female patrons.

I just had to order the Fruit Curry (1,730 yen) which came with a drink and a side of rusks. ※1,400 yen during weekday lunch time.

Just look at it! Curry filled with an impressive array of seasonal fruit—from a distance it wouldn’t be hard to mistake it for a fruit tart! It even comes with a side of sherbet. Uonuma Koshihikari (a popular brand of rice), keema curry, and seasonal fruit make up the composition of this bizarre, yet curiosity-inducing dish. Today’s selection of fresh fruit included watermelon, banana, kiwi, melon, orange, raspberry, blueberry, and more!
The minced meat keema curry was delightfully spicy and authentic tasting! I was certainly skeptical about the use of fresh fruit in a curry dish, but somehow the fruit’s natural sweetness and acidity balanced the curry’s spice rather well!

I tried plopping some of the yuzu (a type of citrus fruit) sherbet on top. It really mellowed out the spices and gave it a refreshing new taste!

The delicious curry base was what really made the dish shine! I urge everyone to experience this shocking dish at least once!

The rusks were full of crunchy goodness.

In a few days I returned to try their famous omelet rice as well!

I ordered the Special Omelet Rice (1,900yen). It came with a drink, a mini salad, and a side of rusks. ※1,500 yen during weekday lunch time.

To judge this dish on its traditional appearance alone would be a mistake. This special omelet rice is indeed special! Carefully selected ingredients, such as Uonuma Koshihikari rice, Totori Oyama chicken, and farm-fresh eggs, make it special from the inside out!

It was everything you could want in an omelet! No wonder omelet rice lovers seem to flock here.
A highly recommendable restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere and wonderful, attentive staff!
