Japanese-Style Beefsteak Meal for Dinner at “Steakhouse Mihashi”
For dinner, I went to “Steakhouse Mihashi,” located near Nikko Kanaya Hotel where I was staying.
Incidentally, “Steakhouse Mihashi” is part of the same group as “Meji-no-Yakata,” the western restaurant I went to earlier for lunch.
I ordered the Japanese-style Beefsteak Meal (3,800 yen).
There were surprisingly few restaurants open for dinner around my hotel, but I’m glad I found a good place to eat.

Staying at “Nikko Kanaya Hotel”
My accommodations for the second day of my trip are at “Nikko Kanaya Hotel.”
The hotel first opened in 1873, and it has been recognized as a nationally designated Tangible Cultural Property and a Heritage of Modern Industrialization thanks to its status as Japan’s oldest standing resort classic hotel.
In the past, prominent figures such as Einstein and Hellen Keller have stayed here.
Rooms
I reserved a “Standard A”-type room, but apparently my reservation was upgraded to a modern-type room.
I took some pictures of the hotel’s exterior at night.
