It is a zoo park where about 1500 varieties of cacti and succulents from all over the world are planted, and about 140 species of animals are reared. In the greenhouse, you will see cacti, succulents, and frost cacti common in the four areas of Mexico, Madagascar, South America, and Africa growing.
You can also see cactus flowers when the time is right. Many cacti and succulents are sold at the “cactus hunting workshop" in the park. Choose your favorite cactus and pot and take them back home as your own original work.
The animals such as squirrel monkeys and peacocks roam free-range, and you are also able to touch various animals in different places in the park. In Oike located at the center of the park, "Animal Boat Tours" are offered. Go around with an animal guide by boat and enjoy observing and feeding animals. Among them, the popular capybaras are famous for the winter-only event "Original Capybara Open-air Bath," a winter tradition in Izu.
At the "Capybara Rainbow Square," you are able to touch capybaras and feed them.
