This cafe is inside the renovated Fujimori Onsen, a bathhouse that operated until 1998. Using the excellence of the previous venue, it re-opened as the second store of “Sarasa” in 2000. Sarasa currently has 6 cafes across Kyoto city. Its environment evokes a Kyoto-like scenery within Nishin town.
The store, which has a bathtub buried underneath, is spacious. There are several remnants scattered around, such as walls that divided the men and women's bathhouse. The tiles decorated on the walls are a rugged relief, an antique design named “Japanese Majolica Style”. Each tile has a cute different color and shape, perfect for viewing.
Filling food menus are also popular. It serves sweets and house-made coffee made in a sister branch, perfect for multiple visits in different hours or purposes. At night, impromptu live concerts are held. Visitors can enjoy music while enjoying food and alcohol.
