Last update :

This theme park is based on the open set used for the film "Twenty-Four Eyes," which depicts the interaction between a female teacher and her twelve students. Set along the coastline with a panoramic view of the Seto Inland Sea, the 10,000-square-meter site recreates a small village from the Taisho and early Showa periods. The landscape is dotted with buildings from iconic scenes, such as wooden school buildings, the male teacher's house, fishermen's houses, teahouses, and souvenir shops, all filled with the nostalgic atmosphere of the Taisho and early Showa periods.

In the "Sakae Tsuboi Memorial Museum" located in the village, you can see exhibits such as the author's personal belongings, original manuscripts of "Twenty-Four Eyes," and numerous first editions. The "Gallery Shochikuza Movie Theater" continuously screens "Twenty-Four Eyes." In recent years, a variety of attractions have been added, including the 54-meter-long "Cinema Art Wall" mural featuring stars from the golden age of Japanese cinema, the Instagrammable "Love Dance Party" spot, and permanent exhibitions from the Setouchi International Art Festival.

The "Café Cinema Club," popular for its nostalgic Showa period school lunch set, and the "Book Café Shoshi Umikaze-do," where you can enjoy fragrant coffee with books and DVDs related to movies, are relaxing places to spend time. The park offers enjoyment throughout the day.
