Mt.TAKAO BASE CAMP

A guesthouse at the foot of Mount Takao, equipped with the latest amenities to support your outdoor life.

Last update :

Mount Takao, a popular spot boasting the world's highest number of climbers at approximately 2.6 million annually, is just about an hour away from the city center by train. Its well-maintained hiking trails and a moderate altitude of 599 meters make it not only popular among domestic tourists but also with many climbers visiting from abroad.

Located at the base of this mountain is "Mt. TAKAO BASE CAMP", a trendy guesthouse that combines a chic ambiance with state-of-the-art facilities. Since its opening in 2019, it's been a popular destination offering reasonably priced rooms, including dormitory-style rooms available for private bookings and family rooms with en-suite facilities. Groups can also rent out the entire guesthouse if desired.

On the ground floor, the café & bar serves food developed under the concept of "a treat after descending the mountain", including items like burgers and curry, as well as BBQ and set menus. The drink selection includes premium drip coffee, espresso, and craft beers. Shower & locker facilities, and a rental corner offering the latest gear from well-known brands at affordable prices are available for both guests and non-guests. It's a must-visit spot before and after hiking.
