YAMATO Craft Beer Table Nara Sanjo

Opened in 2019, this brewery-owned restaurant is the flagship location of Yamato Brewery, a craft beer brand based in Nara. Conveniently located along Sanjo Street, it’s within easy walking distance of both JR Nara Station and Kintetsu Nara Station, making it an ideal stop during sightseeing.

The restaurant serves over 10 carefully selected craft beers, including its signature brew, “Hajimari no Oto”, crafted at the brewery near Kintetsu Nara Station. This original line-up features four varieties: Pale Ale, Saison, IPA, and Stout. Notably, the Saison and Stout have won gold medals at both domestic and international beer competitions, earning high acclaim. For first-time visitors, the four-beer tasting flight is a great way to explore the variety of flavors, and the pairing set, which includes complementary snacks for each beer, is highly recommended.

The food menu is equally the star, featuring tasteful dishes that pair perfectly with craft beer. Highlights include stone-baked pizza, cooked at 200°C for a crisp, flavorful finish, and slow-cooked spare ribs, which lock in rich umami flavors.
