Miyama Nature & Culture Village Kajikaso Inn

Miyama Nature & Culture Village Kajikaso is an accommodation facility located near the picturesque rural village of Miyama Kayabuki no Sato, known for preserving Japan’s traditional countryside scenery. The main lodge, built in a log-house style using local Miyama cedar wood, features an open, airy lobby. In winter, the warmth of the fireplace adds a charming, exotic ambiance.

Guest rooms in the main building are located on the second floor, accessible by stairs, and feature traditional tatami-mat flooring. These rooms share communal toilet and bath facilities. The newer wing offers Western-style rooms equipped with four tatami beds, private toilets, and showers. Rooms facing the river overlook the clear waters of the Yura River, while mountain-facing rooms offer beautiful views of Miyama’s natural landscape. An elevator is available, making the newer wing particularly suitable for elderly guests.

The spacious public bath area, designed for relaxation, features a charcoal-powdered floor that creates an ideal magnetic field and generates negative ions. Water passing through pine mineral stones results in soft, warming baths that soothe guests from the inside out. An open-air bath overlooking the Yura River allows visitors to feel a deep connection with nature.

Dining options highlight seasonal local delicacies, including Miyama’s "Utsukushi-mai" rice, wild mountain vegetables in spring, ayu fish in summer, matsutake mushrooms in autumn, and wild boar in winter.
