Located on the first floor of the Former To-o Gijuku Missionary Hall, an Important Cultural Property of Aomori Prefecture, Salon de Cafe Ange is known as a cafe where you can casually enjoy French cuisine in an elegant setting.

One of its most popular items is the “French Gozen (B).” This lunch set can be enjoyed with chopsticks instead of a fork and knife. It comes with soup, hors d’oeuvres, salad, a main dish, dessert, and coffee. The cafe is also known for its creative apple desserts. The most popular is the apple pie made with “Eikoga” apples from Tsugaru in Aomori Prefecture. These apples are known for their high sugar content and pleasantly balanced acidity.

The interior is furnished with antique furniture and decor. With 36 spacious seats, it offers a comfortable place to relax. The surrounding area is dotted with Western-style buildings built from the Meiji period (1868–1912) to the Taisho period (1912–1926). You can enjoy the cafe along with the nostalgic streetscape.
