A small aquarium where you can see, touch, and learn about the creatures of Lake Hamana and the wonders of water. Of the Approx. 1,000 species confirmed in Lake Hamana, around 200 representative species and 1,000 items are on display, making it a fun place to learn about the natural environment and ecosystem.

The exhibits are divided into three areas, the Aqua Zone, Learning Zone, and Experience Zone, where you can observe up close eels, crabs, shrimp, and other creatures that live in Lake Hamana's tidal flats and brackish waters. In front of the tanks are explanatory panels prepared by staff, introducing the environment of Lake Hamana and the features of its creatures. In the Learning Zone, videos and exhibits make it easy to understand how Lake Hamana was formed and how water circulates.

One of the most popular areas is the hands-on experience zone. At the Fureai Tank, you can directly touch colorful tropical fish, and at Touch DE Osakana, you can feel three-dimensional models to check the shape and size of fish. At the Touch Pool in the courtyard, you can interact with sea creatures and also enjoy a feeding experience for an extra fee.

Outside, there is the Eel Pond (Open-Air Pond), which uses groundwater from around Lake Hamana, where you can observe hundreds of eels swimming. At the adjacent Fisheries and Marine Technology Research Institute's Tank Experiment Building, you can also have the rare experience of looking down into a laboratory where eel research is conducted.
