Japan Dolphin Center
A place where you can interact with dolphins in a rich natural setting.
Located in Sanuki City in eastern Kagawa Prefecture, Japan Dolphin Center is a hands-on attraction centered on interacting with dolphins. Surrounded by mountains and sea, it offers a special chance to spend time with dolphins in a lush natural setting.
At the dolphin pool, which uses netted sea pens separated from the ocean, visitors can watch dolphins up close. Programs include the “Trainer Experience,” where you learn hand signals and give instructions to the dolphins yourself, the “Feeding Experience,” “Let’s Play with Dolphins!,” where you interact with dolphins by playing with toys and getting a kiss, and “Dolphin Swim,” where you swim together with dolphins.
A seasonal “Beach Interaction Experience” is also held at a nearby beach. Since you can interact with the dolphins in shallow water, even those who are not confident swimmers can enjoy plenty of time with them in the sea. You can also enjoy swimming, snorkeling, collecting shells and sea glass, and exploring the rocky shore.
The grounds also feature the shell-themed rest house “Marine Rest,” where you can take a break in an ocean-view lounge. The attached shop sells drinks, ice cream, and ocean life-themed goods. Head up to the rooftop observation deck for sweeping views of the sea.
