Tottori Sand Dunes Conan Airport
Step from the airport into the world of the great detective. Conan and the sand dunes make the journey even more memorable.
Located Approx. 7 km northwest of central Tottori City in a sand dune area facing the Sea of Japan, this airport serves as the northeastern Chugoku region’s gateway to the skies. ANA operates scheduled flights to and from Haneda Airport. Since 2015, it has been affectionately known as Tottori Sand Dunes Conan Airport, inspired by the fact that Gosho Aoyama, creator of the popular manga Detective Conan, is from Tottori Prefecture.
The main visual features Conan and Ran Mouri in sharp pilot and cabin attendant uniforms. Inside the airport, you’ll find plenty to see, including a board engraved with a handwritten message from Aoyama himself, character statues such as Kaito Kid standing in the Tottori Sand Dunes and FBI agent Shuichi Akai, as well as a recreated Café Poirot corner. Snap a photo with the popular characters for a memorable keepsake.
Another popular attraction is a memorial spot inspired by Kaito Kid’s silk hat, where you can ring a bell. It also has a real postbox, and mail posted here receives a special Conan Airport postmark, a unique postal service available only at this airport.
