The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka

Opened in June 2023 as Marriott International’s first Ritz-Carlton in Kyushu. Located on the upper floors, from the 17th to the 24th floors, of Fukuoka Daimyo Garden City, which stands within walking distance of Tenjin Station, the hotel’s location is a major draw, offering sweeping views of Hakata Bay and the Fukuoka cityscape. Inspired by Hakata-ori, a traditional Fukuoka textile, design elements based on the theme of weaving are found throughout the property.

All 167 guest rooms also feature local crafts such as bamboo basketry and Hakata-ori, creating a Japanese-modern space centered on solid wood. At The Ritz-Carlton Club, known as a “hotel within a hotel,” a dedicated concierge is always available, and guests can enjoy afternoon tea in the club lounge, offering a more elevated level of relaxation. There is also a family plan for children that lets them enjoy an outdoor-style atmosphere in the guest room.
