Set on Approx. 165,000 square meters along Kinko Bay, Ibusuki Hakusuikan is one of Ibusuki’s leading hot spring ryokan. Centered on Japanese-style rooms, it offers a variety of accommodations, including rooms with ocean views and villa-style options, for a relaxing stay surrounded by gardens.

A signature highlight of this inn is the sand bath hot spring available on-site. With a dedicated covered facility, guests can enjoy it without worrying about the weather. While staying at the inn, you can experience Ibusuki’s famous hot spring culture as staff cover you with warm sand.

The property also features the Genroku Bath, a large public bath spanning Approx. 3,300 square meters. You can experience Ibusuki’s world-famous, rare hot spring culture by bathing while buried in sand warmed by geothermal heat. In a space themed around Genroku culture from the Edo period, Satsuma ware and ukiyo-e prints are displayed, and guests can enjoy a variety of baths, including barrel baths and reclining baths.

Dinner features dishes made with local ingredients such as Kagoshima Kuro-ushi beef, Kurobuta pork, and seafood. The inn also houses the Satsuma Denshokan Museum, where guests can view exhibitions of Satsuma ware and works of art. This is a place to enjoy an Ibusuki-style stay that goes beyond hot springs to include food and cultural experiences.
