After getting tired from walking around Shinjuku, it was perfect to come up here to take a break and enjoy the view. For first-time visitors to Tokyo, it’s a nice beginner-friendly spot.

Towada-Hachimantai National Park
This magnificent national park stretches across the mountainous regions of Aomori, Iwate, and Akita Prefectures. It consists of two major areas: the Towada-Hakkoda area, which includes the famous Oirase Stream, Lake Towada, and Mount Hakkoda, and the Hachimantai area, which includes Mount Iwate and Mount Akita Komagatake.
The park covers a huge area and is full of natural scenery—perfect for anyone who loves mountain and forest views. The fall foliage here is especially famous, and the colors across the entire forest are seriously spectacular.
