Sorry, everyone.
I actually ate at the Asakusa location, but it was seriously so good!
I’m posting this because I usually really hate going to places that have already opened branches in Taiwan. It kind of makes me feel like there’s no point in coming to Japan.
But that day it was insanely hot. I have been to Fukuoka before, but I guess I was being a little biased then.
But seriously, everyone! I honestly feel like it tastes especially good in Japan. I don’t even know why.
In the end, I ended up eating at Ootoya, Yayoi Ken, and some other chain restaurants lol.
You get your own iced water, and it was super cold. I genuinely love how places in Japan give you nice cold water. Some places in Taiwan serve room-temperature water, and I was honestly kind of shocked. Sorry, 0 points.
And there was no wait, which was awesome.

Kinoko no Yama
Kinoko no Yama, a long-selling product that represents Meiji Co., Ltd. (hereafter, Meiji), has been a beloved national chocolate snack across generations since its launch in 1975. Its most distinctive feature is its cute mushroom-shaped form. The cracker is light and fragrant, while the chocolate portion has a two-layer structure that gives it a smooth melt-in-the-mouth texture. The slight saltiness of the cracker brings out the sweetness, while the clean finish makes it easy to enjoy.
Actually, I took this photo at Costco. If you really like it, you can buy it at Costco〜
I originally wanted to try it in Japan and buy it when I came back if I liked it, so I wouldn’t have to carry it around.
But when I went to Japan, all I bought was Jagabee.
Sorry, Kinoko no Yama. I’ll definitely buy you next time.
Pinky promise.
I just found a strawberry flavor while browsing at Kuang Nan〜 If you like it, you can check Kuang Nan.
Sushiro has a vanilla caramel sundae with Kinoko no Yama.
The Takenoko no Sato one is matcha strawberry. They’re both 140.
I found out Don Quijote has a promotion too.
So cool⋯ I’ve noticed that whenever I see something,
it just keeps showing up everywhere.
I hope money does too hahahahaha -

Takenoko no Sato
Takenoko no Sato is one of the signature products of Meiji Co., Ltd. (hereafter, Meiji). Following the huge success of its sister product Kinoko no Yama, it was developed as the second product in the series with a completely different concept. Since its launch in 1979, it has remained a long-selling favorite with a history of more than 45 years.
I haven't tried these yet because I just haven't felt like buying them, but everyone on the forum says they're good, so I'll definitely try them the next time I go to Japan〜
They seem like chocolate with a really cool shape〜
I saw that my friend bought these on a trip to Japan, and I even asked him if he could save a pack for me to try. But neither of us could find time to meet up, so his older sister ate them lol
Why does it feel like I've already lost touch with more than half of my friends when I only started working not long ago?
So sad?
Everyone, I just found out Sushiro has these!
But they're 140〜 If you're interested, you can go try them -

Omiyage Kaido Kaikyo Plaza
This souvenir specialty store is located in the "Kaikyo Plaza" commercial complex in the nostalgic Mojiko Retro area. A wide variety of souvenirs from the Mojiko area are on display, including banana snacks unique to Mojiko, which is said to be the birthplace of Banana Auction, and products related to Mojiko's famous gourmet, yaki curry.
This is probably the part I regret missing the most?
I was thinking of looking around outside, but I ended up having no time to come back because I also wanted to go to Kokura, so I really only took a few photos.
But there’s a capsule toy shop inside with those things where you draw a key. You can find them everywhere, but this place has a lot of different kinds, like crystals, old coins, and some pretty cool decorations?
But I didn’t try any because they were a little expensive hahaha.
It’s a good place to duck into on a rainy day and browse around. It seems like it would be easy to buy lots of souvenirs there.
But it’s a little far from Fukuoka, so I just told myself it was fine that I didn’t buy anything.
Don’t you think that chef looks a little shady?
I thought it was pretty interesting. -
