Hasedera Temple in Kamakura is one of Japan's most famous spots for viewing hydrangeas. Every May and June, hydrangeas of all colors bloom across the temple's hillside. Blue, purple, pink, and white flowers create a romantic sea of color along the winding walking path, made even more elegant and charming by the atmosphere of Kamakura's historic temple.

During hydrangea season, the small temple is often packed. If you want to enjoy the flowers at a leisurely pace, try to arrive as early as possible to avoid the crowds and get good photos.
