When in Sapporo, you have to dig into Hokkaido’s fresh seafood! This time, I visited Seafood Restaurant Sakanaya no Daidokoro Main Store and ordered a generously heaped seafood rice bowl. It was covered with so much fresh seafood that just looking at it made my mouth water. The ingredients were fresh with a naturally sweet flavor, and every bite was full of delicious Hokkaido seafood. The restaurant uses fresh local seafood from Nijo Market, and the quality was very good. It’s not far from Odori Park and is easy to get to, making it a great stop to include in a Sapporo sightseeing itinerary. If you’re traveling to Hokkaido and love seafood, you really shouldn’t miss it!

SATUDORA Tanukikoji Daio Building Store is a spacious two-story store located on a corner in Tanukikoji 5-chome, part of Sapporo’s famous covered shopping arcade. It's within walking distance of Sapporo Station, Odori Station, and Susukino Station. As the arcade is covered, it’s also easy to visit on rainy or snowy days. Its convenient location also makes it an ideal stop before or after sightseeing or a meal.
When traveling independently in Sapporo, SATUDORA is a must on the shopping itinerary! The Tanukikoji Daio Building Store near Tanukikoji has two floors. The entire store is spacious and has a huge variety of products, making it really easy for international travelers to shop!
The first floor mainly carries medicine, food, and other products, while the second floor has cosmetics, daily necessities, and more. Everything is clearly organized and easy to find. What I like most is that the aisles are very wide, and you can also use a shopping cart, so it doesn't feel too crowded even when there are a lot of people.
From medicine and cosmetics to snacks and daily necessities, you can find almost all the Japanese souvenirs you want in one place〜 If you want to do some serious shopping while visiting Sapporo, the Tanukikoji Daio Building Store is definitely worth adding to your shopping list!
