You have to eat takoyaki when you come to Osaka! Takoyaki originated in Osaka and gradually became one of the city's most iconic foods for ordinary people. A small piece of octopus is wrapped in piping-hot batter, slightly crisp on the outside and soft inside, then topped with a savory sauce and Japanese mayonnaise and sprinkled with aonori and bonito flakes. It's wonderfully fragrant. Each little ball may look simple, but everything from the batter ratio to the heat requires skill!

Milk Road
The Aso caldera is a vast crater and somma volcano with a circumference of approximately 128 km around its perimeter. Across its northwestern outer ridgeline you’ll find a 45km stretch of scenic highway nicknamed “Milk Road”, found across the Prefectural Road 339 and Highway 45.
Kumamoto’s Milk Road is a classic driving route in the Aso area and is also popular with many cyclists. Along the way, there are endless green grasslands and rolling mountains. As the road winds ahead, the scenery constantly changes, making it enjoyable whether you’re driving or cycling. Traveling through the natural landscape with such expansive views feels especially refreshing.
