The Kumamoto Prefectural Traditional Crafts Center is located near Kumamoto Castle and is a great place to learn about Kumamoto's traditional crafts. The museum displays a wide variety of crafts, including pottery, woodwork, bamboo crafts, and textiles, allowing visitors to get an up-close look at the craftsmanship and delicate techniques artisans have developed over many years. In addition to the static exhibits, you can see parts of the production process and finished pieces, ranging from everyday items to intricate works of art, each with its own distinctive character. Stopping by after visiting Kumamoto Castle is a great way to gain a deeper understanding of Kumamoto's local culture and craftsmanship.

NEWoMan SHINJUKU
This shopping complex offering direct access from JR Shinjuku Station boasts a variety of carefully selected fine items from around the world. The interior of the facilities was purposefully designed to create a spacious, relaxed atmosphere throughout. Here you will find a variety of restaurants and shops offering anything from fashion, to cosmetics, to miscellaneous goods, and more.

Kansai-San’in Area Pass
The San’in region, home to historic hot springs and beautiful natural landscapes in Tottori and Shimane, lies beside the Kansai region, which features ancient capitals and sophisticated cities such as Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe. The area is dotted with iconic sightseeing destinations including Himeji Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Great Buddha of Nara, the Tottori Sand Dunes, and Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine. It offers a rich variety of attractions-culture, nature, food, and more-making it a region worth exploring at a leisurely pace.
The most cost-effective way to use the area pass is to plan your itinerary so that the days requiring multiple private railway rides and travel between cities are grouped together, making full use of the pass! As soon as I left Kansai Airport, I boarded the cute Hello Kitty HARUKA train and enjoyed the scenery along the way. In high spirits, I headed to downtown Osaka to begin a wonderful trip.

VENDOME AOYAMA Isetan Shinjuku Store
Since the launch of its first store half a century ago, Vendome’s innovative designs have continued to redefine the history of jewelry in Japan. Named after Paris's Place Vendôme and Tokyo's Aoyama, an area celebrated for its unique fashion and culture, this brand offers pieces that come in blue-branded gift boxes, captivating jewelry aficionados worldwide.
I've always loved Japanese jewelry, especially small, delicate designs with an elegant touch, and VENDOME AOYAMA is one of my favorite brands! The brand excels at combining simplicity with fine craftsmanship. Its pieces aren't overly ornate, yet they have an understated, captivating quality. The pearl jewelry I bought this time has a warm, soft luster and a beautiful color, making it perfect for both everyday outfits and formal attire. Buying it in Japan is well worth it, not only because there are many styles to choose from, but also because the current exchange rate is relatively favorable.
