When it comes to Okinawa’s signature ice cream, it has to be Blue Seal. You can even spot its classic logo on local people’s clothing as you walk around, which shows just how popular it is.
The biggest highlight here is the wide variety of flavors, and the store’s decor is full of American retro style. This time, I chose the refreshing mint chocolate. Being able to sit inside and enjoy a scoop of ice cream during Okinawa’s scorching summer was incredibly soothing.
The most impressive thing is that you can find Blue Seal almost everywhere in Okinawa. Whether it’s a standalone shop along the street or the freezer section of just about any convenience store, it’s easy to buy. If you want to enjoy your ice cream at a leisurely pace, you can choose one of the larger street-side shops. It’s definitely a convenient and classic treat to enjoy during your trip.
