Izumo Taisha is famous as the shrine of matchmaking, kind of like Taiwan's Yue Lao. Tons of people come here every year to pray. The shimenawa rope at the Kaguraden is huge and really impressive.

Shiranoe Botanical Garden
Open for nearly 80 years as a botanical park, this spot on a gentle hill offers natural landscapes woven by plants throughout the year. Visitors can enjoy seasonal views including spring cherry blossoms, peonies, hydrangeas, lotuses, autumn wildflowers, and foliage. The park exudes an authentic Japanese ambiance throughout, with over 700 cherry trees of 60 varieties from Kyushu, making it one of the most significant collections in the region.
It’s a great place if you love flowers and plants.
You get different scenery in every season, so it never feels the same. -

Mikuni Fireworks
The Mikuni Fireworks Festival is a summer highlight even in Fukui held at Mikuni Sunset Beach near Tojinbo and Oshima Island.
The whole coastline lights up with fireworks—it’s so dreamy, just like a scene from an anime! ✨

Tokyo Marriott Hotel
A hotel set in Gotenyama, a historic and quiet neighborhood known for its beautiful greenery. Despite being in central Tokyo, it offers a relaxed, restful stay. With quick access to Tokyo Station, Ginza, and Roppongi, it’s an ideal location for both business and sightseeing.
The location isn’t as good as Shinagawa Prince, but they have a shuttle with lots of runs back and forth, so it’s not a big issue.
