Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine
Ketsumi-mikono-okami is enshrined here. The shrine was built during the era of Japan’s 10th emperor, Sujin. Designated as a world cultural heritage by UNESCO in 2004.
This is one of the three Kumano shrines, and it's also the newest and most impressive one.

MIHO MUSEUM
It is an art museum standing in the green mountains of Shigaraki located in the southern part of Shiga prefecture. It houses about 3,000 pieces of ancient art from Egypt, Greece, Rome, West Asia, South Asia, and China, as well as Japanese art such as Buddhist art and tea ceremony art. About 250 of them are exhibited at all times.
After walking through a long tunnel, you suddenly come into a bright, almost otherworldly scene—like stepping into a hidden paradise.

HAKONE BOTANICAL GARDEN OF WETLANDS
It is a botanical garden neighboring the Sengokuhara Marsh, which is also designated as a national natural monument. Having restored the wetland environment, it is attractive to observe flowers in an almost native condition.
Beautiful natural scenery—a great spot for a walk and enjoying the outdoors.
