The gardens are beautifully designed. There's a musical clock show every hour, and of course, tons of Shiroi Koibito products to buy 🥰

Cup Noodles Curry Flavor
Nissin Foods, the inventor of the world’s cup ramen “Cup Noodles”, launched its curry-flavored noodles just two years after its start of sales. The noodles have a good body and the curry flavored soup is mild and creamy with the sweetness of vegetables.
Nissin's Curry Cup Noodles are such a convenient and tasty instant meal. I really love the rich curry flavor!

Kikuchi Park
Kikuchi Park, situated on a small hill within the city of Kikuchi, known as Kumamoto's back parlor, offers a tranquil spot for relaxation. Developed around the historic site of the Kikuchi clan's castle, who ruled this area for 450 years across 24 generations, the park is a cherished space where the community comes together. Notably close by is Kikuchi Shrine, erected by imperial decree during the Meiji era.
The Kikuchi Castle inside the park is a charming building with a wonderful historic vibe. Truly impressive!

Fukiya Furusato Village
Fukiya is a town that sits quietly atop a 500-meter high plateau. It once flourished as a mining town known for copper and its red ocher, beloved by the elders who built the streetscapes in an eclectic red ocher wash during the years between the end of Edo and Meiji Periods. The elaborately decorated luxe merchant homes and estates were already a remarkable site, but the town’s use of a hired palace carpenter to design a unified look and feel for the entire area is considered especially avant garde for the times.
When I visited on a weekday, the streets were really quiet. There were hardly any shops open.
