There are lots of historical sites and cultural spots inside Maruyama Park, like Chion-in Temple and Yasaka Shrine. It's a great place to really get a sense of Kyoto's history and culture.

Sadoya Winery
Founded in 1917 in Kofu City, Sadoya Winery is an esteemed establishment and long-time player in the wine game. Many toast to its claim as the pioneer of authentic dry wines in Japan and sheer dedication to craft wines that always pair with a meal. Plus, its easy access just a 5-minute walk from JR Kofu Station keeps patrons happy, head-to-toe. Step over to the winery to find a spacious property of some 7,200 square meters (approximately 2,200 tsubo), all beaming with an atmosphere akin to a château in the South of France.
The atmosphere here is fantastic, and the building has a real European vibe. The tasting area is very professional, and the staff carefully explain the different wines. Highly recommended for anyone who loves wine and wants great photos!

Mt. Otowa Kiyomizu-dera Temple
Opened in the year 778, the temple was registered as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 1994. In the 130, 000 m2 area of the precincts spread out on the hillside of Mt. Otowa, there are more than 30 cathedrals and monuments, including national treasures and important cultural properties.
The Otowa Waterfall is believed to have sacred water. Many visitors line up to drink it, hoping for good health, long life, and success in their studies.
