Nishi-Ogikubo is 12 minutes from Shinjuku Station on the JR Chuo Line. Around the station, in the drinking district of Yokocho at the south exit, and the shopping district along the old road, there are many general stores, antiquarian bookstores, and antique stores, each with their unique taste and personality. And you will find a fantastic store in an unexpected area. Strolling around the town, you may find yourself saying, "There is such a store in such a place?!”

From the north exit of the station, there is "Saka-no-ue-no-Keyaki Park," symbolized by a large zelkova tree that locals call "Totoro no Ki" (Totoro tree)," and "Zenpukuji Park," surrounded by lush greenery with Zenpukuji Pond in the center, where you can enjoy a stroll.

*“Totoro” is a character from Studio Ghibli’s film, “My Neighbor Totoro.”

This area has also attracted attention for the international outdoor art exhibition "Trolls in the Park," which started in 2002. For three weeks in November every year, various artworks are exhibited in "Zenpukuji Park" Nishi-Ogikubo Station and the shopping district. Various events are also held to entertain art fans from Japan and abroad.

    知名度雖然沒有吉祥寺來得高,屬於比較小的住宅區,所有的生活機能也很便利,沒有大型的購物商場都是一些獨特的老餐館和居酒屋。
