Daiba Park

Daiba Park, located at the tip of Odaiba Seaside Park extending into Tokyo Bay, is a historical site that was originally one of the fortresses built in 1853 by the Edo Shogunate to guard against foreign ships following Commodore Perry's arrival. It has been converted into a public park where visitors can see remnants like a guardhouse, gunpowder storehouse, and replicas of the cannons, giving a glimpse into the past.

The park is a popular walking spot, admired for its views of the Rainbow Bridge and the overall Odaiba area. Benches are strategically placed throughout for visitors to enjoy the scenery, which is particularly stunning during sunset or when the Rainbow Bridge is illuminated at night.

In spring, the park is adorned by the magnificent blooming of the Oshima cherry tree, a species recognized by the Japan Arborist Association as a "Healthy Superior Tree." This towering cherry tree, which reaches a height of 10 meters, offers a delightful spectacle for visitors. The park is open to the public year-round with free admission, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing break during a stroll around the Odaiba area.
