Maruzen Suisan

Maruzen Suisan is in Uramura-cho, an area known for its oysters. This specialty restaurant mainly serves oysters raised at the local fishing port. Meals made with fresh oysters cultivated by the company itself are a defining feature. Run by local fishers, the restaurant is well known among both tourists and local residents.

Meals are served in a facility that resembles a yakatabune floating on the water. It is a spot where you can enjoy locally produced oysters while experiencing the atmosphere of the fishing port. The main offering is an 80-minute all-you-can-eat grilled oyster course. The all-you-can-eat meal includes either steamed oysters or fried oysters, along with oyster miso soup and other items. In addition, the à la carte menu includes fried oyster rice bowls, oyster tsukudani, and extra orders of Maruzen Suisan’s original brand oyster, “Yoshiki.”

The restaurant has Approx. 50 seats in total, including table and counter seating. Another draw is the chance to dine while taking in close-up views over the water. The area is also convenient for visiting Ise Jingu and theme parks nearby. It is an easy spot to stop by before or after sightseeing in Mie.
