Curry no Champion Nonoichi Main Store
The original Kanazawa curry restaurant, loved for its rich, flavorful roux.
Founded in 1961, this popular restaurant is known for Kanazawa curry. Kanazawa curry is a style of curry served in Kanazawa City and nearby areas, characterized by a rich, thick roux, shredded cabbage on the side, a stainless steel plate, eating with a fork or spork, and a cutlet placed over the roux with sauce poured on top. Because the founder of Curry no Champion created this style, it is known as the original Kanazawa curry.
The most popular dish is the “L Katsu Curry,” made with a thick cut of American pork. Since this dish also helped inspire the birth of Kanazawa curry, it is a must-order if this is your first visit. You can also customize it to your liking with a wide variety of toppings such as sausage, a fried egg, and cheese.
Enjoy a curry you can only taste here, made by slowly roasting at low temperature and adding spices and secret seasonings.
